a release candidate for the new design (homepage)

I didn't get replies from the forum (for the post concerning the design changes here), however I'm glad to say I managed to milk them out of people, and today we've had another session with Dana, I think we have a real classic on our hands here.

so take a look at the candidate for the home page, I hope we will have it up and running soon.
